Suggestions + Discussion for trainer moveset improvements

Something that has been noted for some time now is the need to fix (optimize) parties for every trainer in the game that is available for a rematch. For the past 1 1/2 months, I've been working on possible team improvements to suggest implementing and, as Rangi suggested, I've made this post to share my suggestions and start a discussion on how to do better.

Attached to this post is my personally altered parties.asm file (but with the file extension changed to .txt) along with comments at the top indicating which trainers I edited. Note that I was not going for competitive movesets for the Pokégear trainers, and in some cases did not give certain Pokémon on Gym Leaders/Elite Four rematch teams competitive movesets either, feeling it would be OOC for those particular trainers to have competitive movesets on those specific Pokémon.

Thanks! Note for discussion: held items and abilities are just as important as moves. Most of the parties were designed when the held items were limited to Gen 2 and abilities didn't exist.

Actually, speaking of "suggestions" I have been thinking about this a while, but yeah:

wondering if you, @rangi42 plan to give polished crystal, more of a, darker feel, akin to Red,Blue,Yellow,Green or as some say, G,B,R,Y Aka, darker colors and darker soundtracks and just make the game have more of an edge like those games.

I appreciate your interest in the Crystal version though, most of the versions after that, with the exception of gen 5, really feel lame and even those, have a terrible standard battle soundtrack.

Btw, do you still store previous soundtracks of the themes you added that just appear when you are in the music mode in the menu before resuming saved files?

I have a strong feeling you will be able to someday figure out how to add more than the standard 251, etc...
