I will welcome a PR for this, but since nzbget has largely been deprecated (last I checked) and it’s not something I use, I won’t be working on this.

Understood, but since nzbget is not something I use, I won't be working on this request. If anyone else wants to step up and port the scripts to work with nzbget, I'd be happy to review a PR.
