NetNewsWire does not recognize apple newsroom rss feed's images: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/rss-feed.rss Other rss apps do see them
That feed is including the images as enclosures — as if it were a podcast, only instead of audio it’s including images.
Instead, the images should be in the body of the article. Which is how pretty much every other feed does it.
I’m going to leave this open, since we could deal with this feed’s weirdness, but I have to consider it a low priority.
Such a shame that they are doing it in this weird way (since probably they will not change it if I contact them) - it would be great if you managed to include a fix at some point :)
The feeds that are generated by PolitePol.com, as an example, also have images in enclosures.
Newsify deals with these sorts of feeds, and shows the images as thumbnails in the article list.
The description may also have HTML content that includes images. But they're different.
