Three-/four-finger drag on trackpad to move window

Open LoganDark opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

I have a ridiculously large Windows Precision trackpad (Apple Magic Trackpad 2). Since it is so large (6.3" x 4.5"), it is possible to perform tricks on it, like using the three- or four-finger drag with a huge range of motion.

Is it possible for AltSnap to support moving or resizing windows this way? It would have to hook the start of a three-/four-finger drag and allow the drag to actually move the mouse cursor (which it currently doesn't when unbound).

It is kind of a duplicate of #247

Unfortunately I do not own any multi-touch device, hence cannot work on such features. I would need new hardware in which I am not willing to invest just for AltSnap, because I would probably not even use it otherwise.

If you have Discord or Telegram I'd be willing to give you remote access to my desktop with me there to test the multitouch function

It has a fast SSD and i5-12400F so it's capable of running an IDE like Visual Studio
