Problems of existing tools

rakudo --profile: The HTML output loads very slowly.

Qt GUI: Fast, but no callgraph

moarperf: The AppImage is broken (cannot see callgraph), and inactive.

Problems in General

  • No causal profiler
  • No unified profile data format. No easy way to transform JSON to SQL and back
  • No good UI
