Minecraft 1.12.2 Mouse movement issues

When playing Minecraft 1.12.2, the game acts as if I'm continually spinning my mouse in weird ways, even when not moving my mouse at all.

I read on a reddit post (albeit for Parsec) that this only happens for 1.12.2 and below, which I can confirm since 1.15.1 works perfectly fine for me without any other changes in my setup.

I tried the Chrome cursor fix in the advanced menu, this however didn't change the behaviour at all. Is there a fix / workaround for this issue?
