If we use alias as an entry in YAML that particular entry should replace File name in Database folder in my opinion, i was about to file a bug report but it is not a breaking change so yeah it should be a feature request.
For which platform do you request this request??

#417 as suggested in this i tried embed option which works perfectly, but as per my hilarious naming scheme here is the result, i have aliases, i can use dataview as a workaround but having this as a feature would help everyone.

As a con, Could ve a problem if we have multiple aliases, maybe just take the first one of the list?
Having multiple aliases doesn't seem to cause any of the code issues, isn't it? For user convenience, of course taking the first one would be the best choice as the user would have aliases that have slight to no variation if comparing altogether. Yes we should be good to go by taking the first alias as our choice.

currently the plugin is a macro project, so I dont know...
But if you want my opinion this has a low priority right now, I want to improve the UX on mobiles first
Sure i was just having fun there, I am constantly updated with your roadmap. Keep up the good work. Don't worry i just want bugs to be taken into priority, everything else i file in the [FR] is for the betterment of the plugin and is not urgent.
I can't code in TS (or in vanilla js) altogether, so this is the only way i can contribute to your project. Which i really want and love doing.
And I really appreciate it, without your feedback the process would be so much slower 😊
Preview mode already use just the name of the md, even with links of another columns different to file
