[Bug]: square bracket error in lookup col

What happened?

This bug showed up a couple of updates ago, and I thought this latest update would fix it, but I am still seeing the problem.

I have a comma-separated list of notes. I'm using a lookup to show some items from inside those notes. you can see the problem in the column on the right in this screen shot:

I edited it in source view and corrected the error so the list of note links work

but when I open the DBFolder again the error is recreated. the square bracket error effects just the first and last item in the list

you can see in this screen shot its removing one of the sqaure bracket at the front and at the end of the list breaking those two links
