Page not present or supervisor privilege Error in Luxmark and Blender

I am coming over from my earlier ticket because this problem happens after successful install of the amdgpu-install script from the newest 20.50 driver release. I am using the ROCr --opencl=rocr option during the all-open amdgpu-install script. That is why I am posting this here.

It is listed as having preview support for Ubuntu 20.04.2.

My system

• Ubuntu 20.04.2 kernel 5.8.0-48-generic
• AMD Vega Frontier Edition Air

Both Luxmark and Blender fail with a variation of this error:
