Any chance to get a windows compiled version to download?

Only if someone creates it - that was one of the reasons for releasing this version as open source.

I don't have time or experience of converting C programs to Windows unfortunately. I know someone has been working on it, but cannot stop Windows crashing when the malloc routines are called.
