galaxy s5 LTE + android 9

hi

i have a rooted galaxy s5 with android 9 which has (Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 (28 nm) )but the app keeps crashing when sniffing and shuts-down after dialling 5 numbers when running detection.

Hey,

Do you use any custom rom such as LineageOS for the S5, as the device at stock was not updated to Android 9 as far as I know ?

Hi

Correct I use lineageOS for the s5 and rooted.

Any thought on how I can debug further so we can fix ? will be nice to test the south African mobile networks for the LTE issue.

I tested one device with LineageOS installed and it appears that it misses the Qualcomm vendor-specific drivers to obtain network information, which is probably the issue here. I will try to experiment further and notify you if I found a solution.
