Still have ARAX and KG2 processes that do not terminate properly as seen during high load

Starting a new issue since the old issues are pretty stale now. Observed this morning during high load:

Both ARAX and KG2 requests are occasionally not terminating. https://arax.ci.transltr.io/ [System Activity] [Active Queries]

I'm am uncertain what to do about it, I had ideas at one point but have forgotten them now. Creating an issue for visibility.
