Headers in data files are case-intolerant

Daysim seems to be case-intolerant in the headers of some or all fields among the parcel, household, and person input data files.
The particular fields that triggered my awareness were the distance circuity fields in the parcels. A member of my team manipulated a parcel file using a GIS program which converted the field names to upper-case. Daysim threw an error, reporting it couldn't find the circuity fields despite the option being selected. I have to wonder if changed case in some fields would cause them to be ignored without throwing an error, resulting in unintended results? (E.g. the "importants" in the household file?)
