[Bug 1.11.5]: The distance label is partially hidden under the cursor.

Open Tdue21 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the Bug

On a geographically large map (Forgotten Realms, the Sword Coast), I tried using the distance measurement tool. image

The map has been set up with a hex grid and I have calculated (roughly) the size of each cell in feet. image

But, when using the tool, the label showing the distance is partially hidden under the cursor. Although it is the least significant digits that is hidden, it is difficult to see exactly how many digits are hidden. image

The issue is certainly compounded by the largeness of the grid, but it is present on smaller scale maps as well, although it is easier to see the actually distance.

Maybe some kind of dialog to show the distance, or show it in the status bar.

To Reproduce

C0. The Sword Coast.rpmap.zip

I have attached an export of the map I use. Import it and measure any distance with the tool. The resulting distance label will be partially hidden under the cursor.

Expected Behaviour

I expect the resulting distance to be distanced in a manner that is not obscured by the cursor.

I'd like to bump this fix. The cursor completely blocks the number when zoomed out or with small pixel-grid/both. The number appears on right middle of footprint. If it were bottom left I think it would work better. Zooming in you can see the numbers, but it's not very convenient to measure that way. image
