[Regression] GTA IV fails to boot on newer versions than 0.0.34-17413
Quick summary
This seems to be disc only issue as PSN version boots just fine.
Probably not that important but regarding the version and "boots or not", RPCS3 displays this
E SELF: Failed to decrypt SELF metadata info!
E SELF: Failed to load SELF file metadata!
I've attached only ARM64 logs but exact same issue is present on x64 builds
Details
Initially thought to delete cache and start over but same thing with freshly made cache.
Eventually causes memory leak as well
And depending on RPCS3 version is used, dump is either fine or "damaged" despite dump being fine.
Build with regression
v0.0.34-17414
Attach two log files
GTAIV_17413.log GTAIV_17414.log GTAIV_LATEST.log
Attach capture files for visual issues

Needs testing on x64 non macOS to determine if this happens one every OS / CPU
@AniLeo
Okay, i'm usually putting OS tags to be safe, ~~always fucking up when I don't it seems~~, but yeah - seems to be macOS specific (will make sure to check x64 macOS, but doubt).
RPCS3_17727_macOS.log RPCS3_17727_WINDOWS.log
Seems to work on Windows, at least reaches game selection screen, which isn't possible on macOS. Using exact same dump too 🤔
Tested Windows machine:
- SYS: RPCS3 v0.0.36-17727-6511e0f3 Alpha | master
- SYS: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 0 @ 3.20GHz | 12 Threads | 47.93 GiB RAM | TSC: 3.192GHz | AVX
- SYS: Operating system: Windows, Major: 10, Minor: 0, Build: 22631, Service Pack: none, Compatibility mode: 0
- SYS: Current Time: 2025-03-31T18:54:11
- RSX: Found Vulkan-compatible GPU: 'NVIDIA GeForce GT 640' running on driver 475.14.0.0
- SYS: LLVM version: 19.1.7
- SYS: Firmware version: 4.90
so a regression since #16642.
I would consider to update the template to report a regression requesting also the specific PR introducing the issue. More useful than reporting only the RPCS3 build
@mavethee is that still an issue?
@digant73 yes, it is. If it's needed, I can test on Windows machine I have and edit that, but I assume it would boot as previously.
Details:
It's even worse, because PSN version of GTA IV and EFLC were loading in-game when writing this issue, now it's just gets stuck on loading screen. Disc version is stuck in same place, black screen after choosing the base game or DLCs.

Logs:
Had to update them as Mac as always doesn't support bunch of stuff:
But besides that, it's pretty much wiki settings.
