Other details
i had previously solved issues like this with past updates by reinstalling games cause its known updates can corrupt games but even after reinstalling game with fresh caches it didnt work this time.
You'll have to provide more details than that to make this issue debuggable/investigable.
Just from that description, if we can't reproduce, then there's zero clue of what's going on, and the issue is non-actionable.
Start by regression testing and finding the first build that introduced this issue, provide exact details on how it crashes, maybe a recording showing the crash too.
I'll add in some info since I'm having the same issue. I updated and next thing I knew was that the app could not open at all. When opening it with the terminal, it will just display:
execv error: No such file or directory
One difference though, is that I'm running the AppImage on Arch Linux. I can still use the _old version without an issue, however I can no longer play online (that's why I updated in the first place).
I've got a similar issue, and I've managed to track down which update did it. Pull Request #16704 broke being able to install the AppImage for me. Either from the auto-updater or from a fresh AppImage from the site. Before that, works flawlessly. After that, and until #17016 , I get the same error as Readek. After 17016 it doesn't start working again, instead I get a different error, which I'm going to go list as a separate issue now. Also running Arch Linux (technically CachyOS, but part of the Arch 'family'), also having rpcs3 refuse to launch at all between the two pull requests.
Also, since that update, the AppImage no longer has the rpcs3 logo as the icon, instead only showing a 'generic zipped file' icon.
Based on something I saw in another Issue, I updated my AppImageLauncher to the latest devbuild, hoping that would help. It did not.
Discussed in https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/issues/16737 , you can either wait for AppImageLauncher stable version to get the fix or just uninstall AppImageLauncher to be able to launch the emu (and probably other appimages affected by this).
OP was on Windows 11. AppImageLauncher did not apply. This issue is non-actionable and stale.
@Readek, @RhythmDude, @PrudentMantis is that still an issue?
Only RhythmDude here still needs provide the requested info. The other comments are offtopic
