Resident Evil - Operation Raccoon City [BLUS30750] - Graphical Issues, Possible Regression.
Quick summary
Graphical issues in Res Evil - Op Racoon City in current RPCS3 builds.
Details
Testing Res Evil - Operation Racoon City on a ROG Ally with the latest build of RPCS3 as of the 8th Feb '25 and experiencing graphical issues during cutscenes and gameplay.
From reading previous reports on the RPCS3 forums about how the game performs, and watching some Youtube gameplay videos, there seems to be no mention of any graphical issues in game, nor can I see any when looking at the videos. The main issue with this game seems to be random crashing and freezing. The current graphical issues could be a performance regression, but I'm not sure.
Testing the game with "strict rendering mode" and "read colour buffers / write colour buffers" enabled has no effect.
Logs and screenshots are attached.

Enabling "Configuration>Advanced>Disable Asynchronous Memory Manager" Works for me!
You may experience another type of glitch as well, change "Configuration>GPU>ZCULL Accuracy" to "Precise", fixed at least on my machine.

That seemed to do the trick and fix the graphics issue for me. I think I already had ZCULL accuracy to precise anyway, I think it’s the default setting.
At least the graphics issue seems to be fixed now, it’s just the overall performance of the game isn’t the best and a few other glitches I see in it too. Still needs to be kept ingame for another while. Thanks for the heads up though and getting to the bottom of the graphics issues in it.
I'm curious why some games are affected by having the fast memory manager active. I'll leave this open so I can peek at it when I have a chance.

Regarding performance, I had to run it at 480p to be able to play, another strange thing that if Anti-Aliasing is not disabled, the game may or may not freeze when someone throws a grenade. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
if you are on Windows try if the attached binary fixes your issue. Make a copy of your rpcs3.exe first and then replace your rpcs3.exe with the attached one.

May I ask why I don't have this option?

That setting has been moved to the debug tab.

Okay, thanks
