Beyond: Two Souls™ [BCUS98298] will not load to menu
Quick summary
Game boots but freezes before epilepsy warning, staying stuck on a black screen. Pressing PS button shows emulator itself is still functioning.
Details
Using all recommended settings, verified game dump, version 1.02 of the game.
Starting the game for the very first time, the game loads to the main menu and you're able to continue, chapter select, run DLC, etc.
Any launch after that, the game will freeze at a black screen just before the epilepsy warning video shows. The very last thing in the console log is as follows: "E sys_fs: 'sys_fs_stat' failed with 0x80010006 : CELL_ENOENT, “/dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98298DATA/USRDIR IW_SCREEN_EPILEPSY_ENG.bik” [2]"
Removing ONLY the SPU Cache allows the game to boot to the main menu again. However, any subsequent launches will fail the same way as above. Only clearing SPU cache before every launch allows the game to boot fully.

No reply after 3 weeks, should be closed unless someone can verify?
I've been able to play 1/3rd of the entire storyline of beyond two souls on RPCS3. Not the best experience yet now that I've finished the game on my ps3 I can tolerate RPCS3 more. Have yet to find any freezes or crashes on RPCS3. The game just looks bad.
Most certainly more than the main menu and into ingame regularly and consistently.
I've since switched to Linux, so my input will be moot.
This issue can be safely closed then. Tested as fixed.
