Open Augusto7743 opened this issue 5 months ago • 4 comments

Quick summary

Thanks for reading my topic. RPCS3 GUI QT have the game list area using icons. However will be good see large images about each game for example the game box and disc.

Details

That image can be displayed in an panel in right side so as debugger panel does. That will allow users to scan game box images in an database and even when starting an game showing the game box image =) Other main emulators use that feature. I not understand if is possible implement that feature in QT.

Have an nice day.

I feel like the internal screenshot function isn't used enough to warrant a whole GUI for it. No harm in it being added of course. But I have no issues just going into the folder personally, so dont really see a need. If finding images for the game is an issue, then perhaps they could be saved into folders named according to the game, instead of just GAMEID which no one can easily discern

Could the screenshot if taken , go to the same recording folder that's usually made for making a video recording , using the same folder for both could be a strategy

Are you asking for better custom grid view images in the games list to support full box-3D, box-front, disc, and Screenshot-Game_Title images rather than the standard icon0.png images that are typically used? To import images from ex. Launchbox database and have them fit in RPCS3 UI comfortably.

@Darkhost1999 "Are you asking for better custom grid view images in the games list to support full box-3D, box-front, disc, and Screenshot-Game_Title images rather than the standard icon0.png images that are typically used?" Exactly =) MAME and Retroarch allow and image panel in GUI in right side so will be good create images of game box scans and even when loading an game doing an splash screenshot so as is done in Retroarch. RPCS3 use QT and Retroarch use QT too. Perhaps is simple add that feature. That will to do an better visual to GUI.
