macOS - USB microphones not recognized

Open dirkNlerxst opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Quick summary

RPCS3 on macOS recognizes audio interfaces, but does does not recognize USB Microphones.

Details

I have a Universal Audio Arrow Thunderbolt 3 audio interface that is picked up fine through RPCS3 macOS, but any USB microphones do not. I have tried the Logitech Vantage Mics (the standard ones that came with Rock Band/Guitar Hero). This causes issues with games that have multiple microphones, such as Rock Band 3, as an audio interface can only take up one mic slot at a time. Creating an aggregate device in the macOS' Audio MIDI Setup app does not help, as they are also not recognized.

USB Microphones and Aggregate Devices are detected now, as long as it's set as the system's input device (tbh this may have been the case when I opened this, it's been a while now so I can't recall). It doesn't solve the issue of using multiple devices at once, but I will open a separate issue for that.
