Need for Speed: Carbon [BLES00020] crashes the emulator when trying to stop emulation

Open MotorBoatMan opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Quick summary

Emulator crashes every time i stop emulation (either by clicking the stop button or closing the emulation window).

Details

Honestly there's not much to say, the emulator just closes. The settings (CPU, GPU, Advanced, Debug) are pretty much close to default.

EDIT: I also found that the game permanently freezes at the intro cutscene and I had to use a modified EBOOT.bin that removes the cutscenes in order to play EDIT 2: I was playing the game for a little bit and then randomly a hard crash occured, followed by a RPCS3: Fatal Error message

Updated the log.

OS: Windows 10 Pro Build 19042 CPU: i5-8400 GPU: GTX 1080 Driver version: 516.40

you could've also used disculator extractor and renamed the MOVIES and NFS directories

another fix for movies freezing (although it seems to cause them to lag) is switching libvdec.sprx to LLE
