Grafana GUI not showing roofline model

When using ROCm-5.4.x with versions 1.0.7 and 1.0.6 of Omniperf, the lines of the roofline model do not show up in the Grafana GUI. When using the web GUI the roofline is displayed correctly. Even though the profile was run on GCD 0 of MI250X, on both the Grafana and web GUI it shows as being collected on GCD 4. If I manually change the data gathered during the profile in the roofline.txt file from being captured from GCD 0 to GCD 4 the roofline shows up correctly on the Grafana GUI.

Investigating whether or not this is a Thera specific issue. Findings below:

Notice in Case 1 (ran on Thera), pmc_perf.csv is reporting gpu-id of 8. This is unexpected, my expectation and what is usually reported is id 0.

Why roofline plot isn't visible?

Grafana UI offers a gpu-id filter, which lists all unique values from pmc_perf.csv's gpu-id column. In Case 1, that would be image

However, we can see device id 8 is not present in roofline.csv which is why no lines are plotted.

Update: Found the same case of peculiar gpu-id reporting in pmc_perf.csv on Crusher and Lockhart workload data.

This is only an issue in Grafana UI, not CLI analysis models. CLI roofline does not consider gpu-id filtering and defaults to 0th value in roofline.csv.

Ok - we've isolated the issue to ROCm > 5.3. Same exact run on Thera with rocm/5.3.3 yields:
