Knit `.Rmd` on save

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When using an external PDF viewer to view the result and not the built-in PDF viewer, saving an .Rmd file does not trigger a knit.

Describe the solution you'd like A setting with an effect equivalent to RStudio's Knit on Save checkbox highlighted in below screenshot. afbeelding

Describe alternatives you've considered Manually running "Knit to PDF" every time I save the .Rmd file.
