I had similar issues with newer versions of ES. Not sure if it matches the server version but the client version being used for communication with ES is currently `7.12`...

Which version of ES are you using? Could be related to some older ES versions according to https://discuss.elastic.co/t/elasticsearch-6-8-6-bulk-api-does-not-recognize-parameter-include-type-name/228872. I'd personally use ES 7.6.0, which i have bundled as docker-container here...
