[Bug]: Issue with Default Search Engine in Plugin Setting not Working as Expected

Bug Description

When I change default search engine to Bing. Then I search but it search using Google instead of Bing

To Reproduce

1. Change default search engine to "Bing" in plugin setting
2. Search keyword on search bar, or in new tab home bar
3. The keyword is searched by Google

Expected Result: The keyword is search by Bing

I'm experiencing this as well, though I had set my search to a custom search engine and it is still using Google each time I search.

Same here. I cannot use the Custom Search engine, as every time I try it only uses Google.
