Feature Request: Split Heading into Mindmap based on H1 for canvas cards

I love your plugin, thanks for the good work. I started using the feature "Split Heading into Mindmap based on H1". It works well, but I noticed, it can only do it when I convert a card to a file. It does not work for just the cards. Am I doing something wrong or is this not implemented? If the latter is true, is there any chance for this to get some interest from your side?
