Deeper social integration
Sometimes, when running polls, it is pretty cool to be able to show which of your friends have chosen which option: http://imgur.com/wsITCaH http://imgur.com/GWpFRzi
As you see in the above images, not all your friends who have responded will be shown...just a few...
Of course, if you aren't logged in, then you see random folks who have voted for those options.
Don't know this can be achieved technically.
The first thing that pops to mind is:
- Create each option as a CPT with its own URL.
- Any votes for the option are communicated to Facebook as "Like"s for that URL
- When showing the option, it's Facebook Likes are grabbed from Facebook as you normally would for a Like button
The only issue with the CPT is that the average user has 35 questions each with an average 4 answers. That would be over 120 new posts for that. I have been pondering this over since you had originally mentioned this in the forums but I still haven't found a solution I liked. Perhaps the CPT solution is the way to go.
Yes, it is a bit ridiculous. But I don't see how else to do it.
By the way, many of my suggestions have been lifted directly from http://www.opinionstage.com/ You may want to check it out.
I have a feeling that this type of integration will be most valuable for 1 or 2 question polls. So perhaps it is not as ridiculous as I think it is...
So this should definitely be an option, not something that always happens automatically.

Sad to see this go stale. Would like to see some progress on this.
