This project is relatively inactive and I can only hope that someone takes over. I have almost fully switched to searx as it seems more well maintained.

You need to re-run configure to let it find the new headers. And seeks is long-time unmaintained (lacking new maintainer). Maybe searx is something else you want? It doesn't work...
