Option to not display last searched word in search bar?

Can you add an option to not display the last word we searched for when we bring up the search bar? I use Autocopy addon and when I copy a word and bring up Findbar it automatically highlights and copies the last searched word I used which overwrites the word I copied and I have to delete the word in findbar and copy the word again which is annoying.

And can you also add a Clear button to the bar to remove the words?
