Marking inbox messages as read is completely broken

Title says it all. Marking as read does nothing. When I go on reddit.com, they still show up as new messages.

Steps to reproduce:

• Login with a reddit account
• Receive some message(s) in your inbox
• Mark them all as read
• Log onto reddit.com
