v.redd.it Videos Play Without Sound

Using Android 8.0.0 with the latest RedReader update, and upon playing any video on reddit I find that there is no sound whatsoever, even though the video itself does have sound on the website. I've found this to be a long-standing issue, but I am wondering if I am doing something wrong seeing how it hasn't been reported yet from what I can see.

@SweetLilyCake Are you still experiencing this issue? Several changes to the way audio and video are handled have been implemented since this was opened.

I haven't used reddit on mobile for the past two months, but at the time I didn't have any issues.
