Alternative "post action" menu opening

In newer versions of android, you can drag from the side if the screen to go back. However, this is how you also open the "post action" menu. Could an alternative way of opening that menu be added so it doesn't interfere with the the back navigation?

I've always just disabled that side menu by setting it to 0dp in the behaviour settings.
