New enhancment ideas

I have some ideas to improve your great project.

  1. setting a time slot to display headlines only during a certain time frame.
  2. a clock only time frame with no other scrolling.
  3. weather forecasts for a selectable number of days.
  4. to be able to select which weather data to scroll.
  5. to be able to turn off the city/town name.
  6. able to select multiple headline sources.
  7. show estimated time of print ending or time left to print.

I have plans on breaking out the configuration into sections like:

  • Clock
  • News
  • Weather
  • OctoPrint

This will allow for some more granular configuration settings without over loading a single page. Thanks for the suggestions.

It would be great if you could manage to ad MQTT messages. It would be really great for Home Automation platforms (www.home-assistant.io).

I found this https://github.com/ninharp/ninESP but I think your project is far more developed

Also love this project, my request is support for multiple Octoprint instances, I have 2 printers with multiple octoprint servers running on an RPi, it'd be great to get updates for them both

This is a great little clock.

+1 on the MQTT request above.t - it would be really nice to use MQTT to publish the text to be displayed as "advice" so that home automation systems, or other computers can send text messages to be displayed.
