Wifi lost -> reconnect does not work

hi, in case my Wifi is lost and comes back again, it seems that the ESP does not auto-connect at all. So the connection failed banner is shown. Thanks for your feedback, Norbert

I think it has to do with the lease time on the DHCP server, but I am not sure. If you unplug it and plug it in does it reconnect? The IP is probably changing when your WiFi goes down and it is trying to still use the previous settings. I don't think this happens for most people.

Thanks for your "always" so fast replies. I'm experienced with all kinds of ESPs and normally if the wifi connection is lost it would reconnect again in all my project. here it simply does not reconnect at all, at least you see the weather failed banner coming frequently. You're right, a reset/repower of course does bring back the full functionality again. Its no big deal, i simply wanted to check if this is intended or you know about it anyway. Cheers. Norbert

I have the same issues. When the power is lost and came back, the ESP8266 star before the router, WiFi message is showing on display. A have to reconnect the power supply on ESP8266(does not auto-connect), after the router start.
