Support for light/dark mode toggle in docs

What is the expected enhancement?

The Furo sphinx theme, on which these docs seem to be based, has a light/dark mode toggle switch. It defaults to the browser's request. It would be awesome to be able to read these docs in dark mode as well as the current light mode.

I've tried to build the site locally to test this myself, but I'm on arm64 MacOS and I'm facing sphinx extension errors that I can't seem to resolve. Hoping someone on your end might view this as a simple fix!

We could have a look into this but it boils down if the fork of Furo we use kept this functionality or disabled it. I am pretty sure we use the default settings of the fork
