Long TeX equations are cut off on zoom in

Please describe the UI problem.

When zooming in, a long TeX equation will be cut off. The only way I could find to expose the hidden part is to try to highlight it with the cursor. In the sphinx build of the documentation, there is a horizontal scroll bar for the TeX view, but this is absent in the published docs.
