English .ADFs v1.14 / v1.15 / v1.16 corrupt
Heya Pyrdacor,
Thanks for all your work on updating this game ;-)
Just thought I should mention that the English .ADFs v1.14 / v1.15 / v1.16 are corrupt.
Basically after clicking "Start New Quest", disk 1 will guru.
This believe this happened previously with an older update, I think the issue was something to do with the files being compressed or built incorrectly.
Very unlikely to be the same as bug #15 which was a bug in the LOB packer which only affected 68000 CPUs
Now that you mention it I just noticed that I didn't adjusted the installer yet to copy the new files. Thanks for your feedback. I will try to fix this in a week or two.

Heya Pyrdacor, Hmmm, when I go to https://github.com/Pyrdacor/Ambermoon, scroll down to "Amiga", then "Full versions", and finally select either "zip" or "lha" from under "ADF Disk Images" I get the attached error ;-( Also, strangely I have to now sign into GitHuub in order to try and download. Could you possibly e-mail me either the English v1.17 ADFs in the .LHA or .ZIP archive? Ciao, DamienD

Did you install from the workbench or by booting from the floppy directly?
I'm trying to play from floppy like the good old days ;-) With all the work you've done, this is fine up to and including v1.13. Afterwards no go, and gurus before character creation. Ciao, D

I mean, I emulate so no problem to install to hard drive... for now I've done the and all good. ...but if you're a real A500 user then you don't have this option so would have to play from floppy disk. Ciao, D

I ask because there is the installer (which I fixed) and the script for the raminstall (booting from floppy). I didn't change the latter as I thought it would work. So I will have a look at this as well soon.
Alrighty. The installer on Disk 1 works fine ;-)

Nope, just switched ro the hard drive version... Shame really, as real Amiga users without hard drives cannot play this game. I mean I'm ok with whatever, as you know Alex, I emulate : p Ciao, D

It's more a note to @Pyrdacor. If it is too much work to fix them. Maybe remove them?
Remove the .ADF version? Temporarily until fixed, yes. Permanently, no. It's up to Pyrdacor, but IMHO that would be a real shame. Real Amiga users without hard drives would suffer and nit be able to enjoy this game with all the great effort that him / others have put in to fix these long term bugs ;-( Ciao, D

I don't know if it's worth it as most users will pick the most recent version anyway. 1.17 still has an issue when booting from disk. It only works when starting the installer from disk in WB. Didn't have the time for it yet.
All good Pyrdacor. No need to rush and fix playing from the .ADFs. That can come later, when you have more time to investigate properly ;-)

I guess Alex meant only 1.14 to 1.16 adfs. The others of course stay. And if I fix the old ones, I would upload them again.

Yeah. When I fix the boot script, it is easy to pack it together with the old 1.14+ data files on a disk if someone really wants the 1.14 adfs. Only disk A is broken anyway as it contains the boot script.
