Support for Swift?

Is there any prospect of adding support for OpenStack Object Storage (aka Swift)?: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Swift

Not currently. I want to keep a fairly minimal subset of implementations in the fs module. So, Swift support would probably remain an external project if someone wanted to implement it.

Not that I know of I've afraid. If you need it for a commercial project, I may be able to help you on a contract basis.
