Actions to reproduce (if known)

The player who made that crash reported it to me, the only solution I found was to disable crafting, disable the possibility to add items inside the bundle, he explained that it works when you add items that can be accumulated and then I activate his crash in the liquidbounce client.

Please update to 1.21.5 While you are updating you can use https://modrinth.com/plugin/bundle-crash-fix

I am the wrong person to ask because I made that plugin so that servers don't crash. In case you don't trust me read source code and compile yourself 🤷

According to the statistics from bstats, 30% of Purpur servers are still running version 1.21.4. We need to ask granny if she is willing to sync the upstream Paper 1.21.4 updates to Purpur 1.21.4, as the latest version of Paper 1.21.4 has fixed the Bundle crash issue.

Granny won't pull because Purpur's versioning system isn't per-version like Papers but it is a counter shared across versions

Maybe Purpur can figure out a way to make some changes. Once the 1.21.5 beta version is released, the 1.21.4 version will be completely abandoned. Suppose there are some serious bugs in the 1.21.4 version. If it is possible to update and fix the problems from the upstream in a timely manner, this could also save and protect these servers. This is also considering that most servers have a certain degree of lag in version upgrades due to plugins and other reasons. Of course, this might be a bit off-topic.

This was a conscious design choice that was made years ago after much consideration. It's really the better option, even if some of ya'll don't see it ^_^

Sad, well wait for the plugins to be compatible with 1.21.5 to upgrade

Antoniova1 avatar Jun 08 '25 22:06 Antoniova1

fixed by updating to the latest version (1.21.5+).
