Open Unknown69un opened this issue 1 year ago • 9 comments

I just downloaded this, ran it, it opens like crap, menu seems to respond at first, but doesn't do anything, then locks up, Entire time it's eating one entire core MailClient_USHQXITemE After a while this error pops up opera_XWIM0TC6Ja The text fields correct then. It starts working then, but very slowly. I was able to add two clicks and a wait, it took 2 minutes, mainly waiting for program to respond.. MacroCreator_eqxkxxvd31 When it's not responding it locks windows too, I have to press ctrl alt del to regain control

Maybe it's trying to check for update and it's being blocked by the firewall. Check your system settings to make sure it has access to the internet or manually edit the settings ini file at %AppData% to disable check for updates on start-up.

Search for the "MacroCreator.ini" file. For this kind of search in Windows, Everything from Voidtools, is your friend. Open the file in Notepad (or equivalent), and check for the "AutoUpdate" value:

PMC-AutoUpdate

Change it to zero and retry.

By the way if you download the portable version or choose portable option during install autoupdate is set to off by default.

Can confirm that auto updates aren't an issue. Restarting the PC fixes the issue temporarily but it always comes back on both 32, and 64 bit.

Same issue here. Worked perfectly fine before.

Before what? I cannot tell what's going on with every computer where it freezes. It's most likely some other program interfering (firewall, antivirus, etc), so you have to try to find out.
