Will this work for newer models?

I'm wondering if I would be able to limit the newer models such as the scooter Mi 3 and Mi 4 Pro. The line-up and specs of differently numbered scooters are quite confusing, but it seems like the 4 Pro is a clear upgrade in terms of range, while the top speed remains 25 km/h. Would be nice if I could buy that one and mod it like this.
