Let us write script JS in VSCode instead of in the app.
Description
Not all of us are JS Developers and I often make errors when writing inside the Proxyman's native editor. If one can write in VS Code then I can use the Copilot to write little JS I need for myself.
Why this feature/change is important?
Improves the overall UX.
Sure, I will open it to let you edit it from Cursor or VS Code. It's what we've done for Map Local.
If you don't mind, pls use this Beta build: https://github.com/ProxymanApp/Proxyman/issues/2394
It has a better Scripting Editor
Would love to see support for external editors, VSCode and Cursor for example. I have folks on my team who do not have much experience with javascript, and having assistance through AI would be great. I'd also like it for speeding up script writing. Is there an easy way to point Cursor at the existing scripts to "learn" from them?
I would love this feature. I'm more of a Python dev myself and the back and forth of copy/paste between Proxyman and ChatGPT/Cursor is tedious and slowing me down.
Alternatively the ability to be able to call an AI from within Proxyman could be an avenue. In particular if it was to a model trained on the Proxyman object models
I'm working on this now 👍
@wabiloo @mprice-banno let's use this Beta build: https://assets.proxyman.com/beta/Proxyman_6.0.2_Allow_editing_Scripting_with_External_editors.dmg
Please note that there is no AI feature here. If you'd like to use Cursor to write a Script, please ask Cursor to refer Proxyman Snippet code at https://docs.proxyman.com/scripting/snippet-code
@NghiaTranUIT Sorry for the delayed response, this has been working quite well so far. I haven't used it exhaustively but so far so good! Thanks for adding this!
