[Android TV] - Frequent crashes and black screens

Device: Nvidia SHIELD TV (2019 Model #: P3430) Version: Shield Experience Upgrade 8.2.2 OS: Android 9.0 Pie (Android TV)

Issue: When using on Android TV the OS will frequently display black screens or soft restart the Android home screen launcher.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Proton VPN app on Android TV
2. Select a country > Select more > and connect to a city
3. Press the O button on the remote control to return to the Android TV home screen
4. A black screen will be present for 1-5 mins
5. Once the home screen returns reopen the Proton VPN App
6. The VPN connection will sometimes stay connected other times it will be disconnected
