Hello ProtonVPN Team,
I previously had the GitHub version of the app installed on my GrapheneOS Pixel 9 Pro XL (Build version: 2025110801) using Obtainium (open-source APK sideloader). I recently tested the Google Play version (sandboxed Google Play with minimal permissions and no system access) for a while, and now I wanted to switch back to the GitHub version.
However, I keep receiving the following error:
“App not installed as package appears to be invalid.”
This happens both when I try to sideload the APK manually and when installing it through Obtainium. I also receive “some errors occurred: invalid [android.app]” — even when I try adding the source code ZIP. (You can also see these errors in the attached images.)
Has the package been moved or changed? Even when I try installing the version from F-Droid, I get the same issue.
Could you please help me with this or provide instructions or support?
Thank you.
Update Package name is identical as the Playstore Version
