client dies when using print
using proton mail desktop client v1.06 installed via apt on Linux Mint 21 ( uname gives : 5.15.0-126-generic #136-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 6 10:38:22 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux )
Problem: I have an email in inbox with pdf attachments. I click on an attachment to view within protonmail and then attempt to print using the printer icon shown near top right of protonmail and a selection dialog is briefly shown so I can choose a destination printer but this dialog disappears and the protonmail client also dies after about 1 second. This also happens when I try to print the shown text of an email (no attachments) using the gui icon "..." then choosing "print" so not an attachment issue as such.
As this is my first attempt to report on this site, any suggestions as to how to provide more information without showing the contents of my emails or attachments would be helpful. I did look in the ~/.config/Proton Mail/logs/main.log file but didn't see anything other than https GET requests for mail and calendar and similar traffic messages. I've also raised this as an issue with Proton's Support today but have yet to hear back. `
Running into this too on Pop_OS! 22.04 and it feels very similar to https://github.com/tutao/tutanota/issues/3727
I can print fine from web app.
