Bookmark protonmail icon not showing in Firefox

Why does the proton icon (logo) appear in the favorites in firefox? Is this a firefox or protonmail error?

I usually save some favorites with just their link, and the protonmail url doesn't have the service icon.

Take the "inbox" part out and it should work. At least works in all of my Firefox installations. Gmail, Outlook.com and some other sites also cause this problem but this is more about how Firefox handles favicons instead of how a particular site handles them (they work fine in Chromium based browsers so Firefox simply doesn't bother to look for them as deeply for some reason).
