Is it necessary for not-Polygon ERC721 contracts to inherit NativeMetaTransaction in order to integrate with Opensea?

I have read this Opensea doc , which reason the need for Polygon contracts to use Meta-transactions, but I can't find more infomation about how Meta-transactions work with normal contracts (deployed in ethereum) in Opensea.
