Allow Comments/Allow Ping options in the Posts list do not reflect the configuration and reality

I notice that the "Allow comments" and "Allow ping" check boxes when using the 'edit' or 'quick edit" options from the Posts list are checked even if the ping option is disabled in the Settings\Discussion Settings and the allow comments is still enabled while the number of days to keep comment open has been reached - for this one it the comment has been closed when looking at the published post

It is like the UI is not reflecting the actual state of both comment and ping options

While I don't have a site running with comments set to disable after a number of days, I do have sites running with ping disabled. The posts are properly showing that Ping is unchecked when viewing via Edit or Quick Edit. Any chance these posts were created prior to turning off Pings?

Also, given the other issues you have reported I'm starting to wonder if there is some sort of database issue you are encountering which might be contributing to everything. No idea what that might be, but it is quite suspicious.

Nope, posts have been created after the setting was turn off Regarding a potential DB issue, I would be surprised - but if you know what to look for to confirm or not please share thanks
