No audio

Open Maxpako opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

Hello, I've tested this image and looks very very promising, specially because I like a lot CentOS.

I think some driver is missing for the audio to work.

I'm not sure where should I look for them to compile. Any clue?

Thanks in advance!

@Maxpako I'm glad your experience so far is promising. TBH I have not even tried out the sound, your best bet is probably to ask for help at https://www.centos.org/forums/. Plz keep me posted so that maybe we can roll in a fix.

Cheers --Kurt

@Maxpako I just tested and I don't seem to have any working audio either. I will try putting out a new distribution with an update and centos 7 version soon. Maybe that will fix things. Did you get any further into debugging it?

Hi @KurtStam , nice to read from you. I'll be happy to test new image if you release it. Anyway, I'm still messing first to change gnome by Xfce as gnome-shell is consuming quite a lot of CPU after huge yum upgrade (took a morning to update all). What I see from PulseAudio is that the audio output is "dummy" (boba in spanish XD), so probably I have to start from there: how to define outputs (missing dev).
