Static MIG configuration with node in hami-core mode

Please provide an in-depth description of the question you have: I plan on using HAMi on a node with a RTX6000 Blackwell Server Edition. My plan is to once statically set the card to 4 MIG instances (4x24GB) mode using nvidia-smi.

Then next, I plan on running the node in hami-core mode (NOT in dynamic MIG-mode) Will the hami-scheduler see these 4 MIG-instances and schedule workloads on them? Basically, will the scheduler treat this setup in the same way as if I would have 4 physical cards on the node? From the documentation, I cannot find out if this is supported.

If this is not supported, could I run the node in MIG-mode but freeze/force the setup to be non-dynamic and always keep the 4x MIG instances?

Environment:

  • HAMi version: 2.7
  • Kubernetes version: 1.32
  • Others:
